What's in your closet?
More more and more reds!
As you all know, I cannot resist red lips! The look is so classic hollywood and classic beauty.
These red lips are courtesy of MAC Makeup. I applied MAC’s red “Kiss Me Quick” all over my lips and outlining them and then MAC’s Viva La Glam I on top of it to create this sultry red shade. I really love it and I will be experimenting with it more.
Coming later this week is my favorite Back To School tops for the fall that I’ve bought recently!
Happy shopping!
Hey guys! This is where I’ve been, the beach! I, surprisingly, don’t actually like the beach that much. I don’t like dressing casually and doing nothing! But, those are my new Toms. I’ve always wanted a pair and at the beach I went to a boutique called the Foxy Flamingo in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, that has them and immediately got them. I am obsessed with red shoes so getting them in red was my first thought.

I also went to an outlet shoe store while I was in the Outerbanks and picked up two pairs of Sperrys! I have WAY too many shoes in animal print (like my sand covered Vans also featured above) but I couldnt resist. I also really liked the plaid print and thought the colors and the plaid would be preppy-chic for this season. I bought all sneaker-like shoes on this trip because I will have to walk around my college campus later this month and I only have flats and boots, so maybe a pair of sneakers will be nice.

Here is where I was, Nags Head, NC.
Happy shopping!
Men’s style appreciation post: Scott Disick, ladies and gentlemen

Sorry I haven’t been updating lately, I’ve been working a new job almost every day and on my days off I’m super tired.
Anyways, NY is going through a heat wave right now and the only way to beat the heat is to stay inside or go swimming. But, how do you dress for a heatwave and still look trendy?
Most people I see during really hot days are wearing boring, plain outfits that took little to no effort. I see a lot of spaghetti strapped tank tops, daisy dukes and old navy flip flops (my pet peeve is when people wear old navy flip flops.)
For me, I like to wear things that still keep me cool but don’t sacrifice any sense of style I have. I really like suspenders! They can bring a little bit of originality to any outfit and are cheap as well. My shorts/suspenders are a bought combination from Forever 21 and I believe you can still buy them or similar ones online. There is also plain black suspenders from H&M for $7.95 you can buy that are not attatched to any shorts so you can wear them with anything.
My shirt is a very light thin cotton fabric. The print is little black cat head silhouettes all over the shirt. It was from Urban Outfitters and I took advantage of the 2 for $28 deal they have going on.
My shoes I’ve mentioned earlier, they’re from F21 and the link is in a post below. They aren’t the BEST shoes to wear during a heat wave since theyre synthetic leather and get kind of sweaty but like I have stated before I will wear anything on my feet at whatever cost and they matched pretty well.
My glasses are real (yes, prescription) and the reason why I am wearing them is because my allergies are crazy right now!
Overall, stay cool but look cute.
Happy shopping!
Lulus.com Picks of the Month
Happy Saturday everyone! These are some items I really liked from the online boutique Lulu’s.com. Every time I look on the site I always find amazing pieces I could never find in any stores I have at my local malls. Here’s what I like from Lulu’s! Oh, and if you don’t like ordering online, sometimes I like to just make lists of things I like describing the piece and try to find dupes (duplicates/replicas/similar) in stores.
Right Pack At You Floral Print Backpack- I’m looking for a bag just like this. Since I’m starting college soon I’ll need something to hold my art supplies and my journals. This looks like a good bag for that and the floral print is just adorable. Statement bags are my favorite.
Pearly Girl Chambray Cutout Dress- I chose this because it reminds me of something Marina Diamandis of Marina and the Diamonds. would wear The color is light and the dress is very feminine. The back is cut out on the bottom which I adore because I can never wear anything with big back cut outs because I have DD’s (big boobed girls know what I’m talking about.)
What a Doll Ivory Button-Up Top- Again, in love with anything with collars. Collars collars collars! I like the ivory color and the tie on the blouse. The way the company has is styled with the green skinnies is exactly how I’d wear it as well.
Shoe Republic LA Scion Green Spiked Cap-Toe Flats- Can I just say I love the studs?!? They remind me of the flats with studs that Jeffrey Campbell has out. The green color is nice and rich and could be either statement flats or just shoes to match an outfit as well. I’m buying these as soon as my next paycheck comes in. Plus, if you don’t like the green there’s other colors on the site as well!
Mad Skulls Skull Ring- If I wear jewelry, it’s usually studs or statement jewelry. This ring is LOUD and demands to be looked at. I think its very edgy and the color is summer-ready.
Curve Appeal White and Black Top- This is really nice. It’s a little sexy without showing any skin. Could be used in a casual setting or even going out.
Miss Universe Print Mini Skirt- I LOVE THIS!!! Galaxy print is my new must-have. It’s a little different, you won’t see anyone except the most daring fashionistas rocking galaxy print but if you like to stand out this is for you.
Cider Stand Pleated Red Dress- Of course another collared item ;) I love the color and the pleats on the skirt.
